Committee Chair:
This committee monitors the environmental health of Molasses Pond using measures and guidance established by knowledgeable entities such as state environmental and wildlife agencies, congress of lake associations and Lakes of Maine. Taking Secchi disk and temperature readings and measuring dissolved oxygen are examples of water quality measurements. The committee researches the steps the Association can take to prevent the introduction of invasive plant species such as Eurasian watermilfoil and develops an annual report on pond health with recommendations for improvement.
